Strangers

Strangers went by on the oceanside but I knew it was just you-and-me. Flying seagulls up on my head on their way to get home in the trees. White waters run aground the sea and I knew I had a long way home. Black branches out of the ground in the back I saw the sun went down. I walked down the shore and I held my own hands. There was no you as I started to dance. I closed my eyes and I walked down in the sand and I saw the woods are waving like a good friend. I’m whispering what I’m doing. I follow my own sun. Where are you and where has the time gone? Broken branches in sunsets and open skies and fears. Where are you, please come over here. I’m whispering what I’m doing. I follow my own sun. Where are you and where has the time gone? Broken branches in sunsets and open skies and fears. Where are you, I feel nostalgia in my tears. Footprints in the sand washed out by the sea and I felt like I could fly low. Strangers went by in the dark but I knew them from the start - my old friend the black crow. Broken wings and captured minds, homeless yards but they’re alright. On my shoulder we just go. On my shoulder we just go, on my shoulder we just go, on my shoulder we just go.
